The special Graviera cheese is a hard cheese crafted by the nuns of the Holy Cross Monastery in Corinthian using 100% pasteurized cow's fresh milk which gives balanced milky and buttery taste.
20 years ago, the nuns started out with a few dairy cows and at the moment they have created a modern farm. The nuns have their own mill for processing and mixing their feedstuffs, while they maintain a high standard dairy cow farm and have established a creamery where they process the milk, standardise and market their products. All of their products are made 100% from their own fresh pasteurized milk, without concentrates, powders or other additives. The cheeses mature at least for six months and the main feature of all the products is their excellent quality. Their work has been recognized as remarkable by competent public and private bodies.
