What I particularly appreciate in this dried basil is its concentrated flavour that holds up beautifully as a hot drink with a spoon of honey added in or in slow-cooked dishes, soups, and stews - places where fresh basil might lose its punch. I've also used it in marinades and spice rubs. The convenience factor cannot be overstated - no more last-minute grocery runs for fresh basil when in the middle of cooking!
